Mr Neil Heron is one of the most incredible men that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. My family and I had the honor of spending a week in the bush with him. Neil was not only our Guide, Protector and Teacher but a true kindred spirit. His love, respect, understanding and admiration for all animals is unmatched. His enthusiasm for the Kruger and all that lies within is absolutely contagious.Tragically our very first morning drive in the Kruger resulted in witnessing the aftermath of a Rhino poaching. I will never forget the effect that this heartless event had on our family and guide. Neil has seen far too many of these tragic scenes in his time in the Kruger for sure. It was then that Neil educated us on the true reality of Rhino Poaching and it's devastating impact on their very existence. I knew after my week in the Kruger that Ashes For Hope had to contribute to the saving of Rhinos and the end of poaching.
